About this app
Make your next how-to guide clearer, one step at a time.
Documentation AI Suite helps you document a process in a selected Windows window, turn captured steps into an editable guide, and export a finished document for your team or clients.
CAPTURE THE PROCESS
Select a visible foreground window and start recording. Left and right mouse clicks become screenshot steps with best-effort control labels. Pause, resume or stop from the app, shortcuts or tray controls. A built-in practice window lets you try the workflow using fictional information. This is step capture, not video recording.
REFINE BEFORE YOU SHARE
Edit titles and instructions, reorder or remove steps, add the guide's purpose, and hide sensitive screenshot regions with pixel redaction. Every step must be marked reviewed before export. Check both images and text: redaction does not remove data from older exports or backups.
EXPORT IN A USEFUL FORMAT
Create PDF guides, editable Word-compatible DOCX files or self-contained offline HTML. Guide projects and exports are local files; choose where to keep and share them. No Microsoft Word installation is needed to create DOCX.
OPTIONAL LOCAL GENERATIVE AI
Draft short English instructions from captured control labels using a local FLAN-T5 model. Setup downloads approximately 97 MB of revision-pinned, checksum-verified components from Hugging Face. Afterwards, drafting runs locally on CPU; screenshots and guide text are not uploaded to a writing service. AI does not interpret images or perform OCR. Drafts can be inaccurate or inappropriate and must be reviewed. Use Local AI > Report AI concern to open reporting guidance; visiting support is a separate action, with no automatic content attachment.
DESIGNED FOR A LOCAL WORKFLOW
No app account or recurring model-service subscription is required. The self-contained .NET and inspected native runtime dependencies are included. Model setup and an explicitly opened support website require internet; capture, editing and exports do not require an online service.
IMPORTANT LIMITS
Windows x64 desktop. The selected window must remain visible, foreground and unobscured; protected/elevated windows, separate dialogs and accessibility providers may behave differently. Screenshots can include private details, overlaps and notifications: record only with authority. Projects autosave locally without app-provided encryption. Limits include 100 steps, 4096 pixels per screenshot dimension, 100-character titles and 1200-character instructions/purpose. Not a guarantee of compatibility with every application, content safety or documentation accuracy.
