CivicSort OCR reads local PDFs and document scans, suggests useful names and Year / Document Category folders, and lets you review the whole plan before any files change. Built for personal paperwork and small-office document archives, it keeps processing on your Windows PC.
READ LOCALLY
Extract existing PDF text or use bundled English and Spanish OCR for scanned PDFs and images. No cloud account or document upload is needed. Supports PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, BMP and WebP, including folders with subfolders.
REVIEW BEFORE YOU ORGANIZE
Check a non-mutating simulation, adjust dates, categories and filenames, then explicitly confirm the final operation. Low-confidence and unclassified items stay in Needs Review until you approve them.
KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR FILES
Copy by default, choose move mode explicitly, avoid overwriting existing files, and undo actions within the current session. Naming rules and collision handling help keep your archive consistent.
KEEP SENSITIVE DETAILS OUT OF PREVIEWS
Optional identifier detection masks supported ID patterns in previews. Reports exclude raw identifiers, OCR text and file paths. Preview masking does not redact the original documents.
