Vellora Offline Transcriber
This policy covers the Mac app with bundle identifier com.manelsort.offlineaitranscriber.
Recordings and transcripts
The app reads audio or video files you select, converts their audio locally using Apple media frameworks, and runs Whisper transcription on your Mac. Recordings, transcripts, edited speaker labels and generated notes are not uploaded to Vellora or a transcription service. These files may contain personal or confidential information; use recordings you are entitled to process.
Working audio and transcript data may be stored temporarily on your Mac. Exported TXT, Markdown, JSON, SRT and VTT files are saved where you choose. Exported copies remain until you remove them.
Optional downloads
The multilingual Tiny model is included. Downloading the optional Base or Small models connects to Hugging Face model hosting. The hosting service receives the IP address and technical information needed to deliver the requested file, but no recording is sent with that request. Transcription does not need an internet connection once its model is available.
The app has no account requirement, advertising, built-in usage analytics, cloud transcription or per-minute billing.
Your data and contact
Local storage and deletion
App preferences, models and working data are stored locally in the app’s Mac storage area. Files you export or organize may be outside that area. You can remove your exported files and local app data using macOS; preserve any files you want to keep first. Uninstalling an app may leave local data behind. Backups or cloud-synced folders you choose may retain additional copies under your own settings.
Apple and other services
Apple manages App Store purchases and may process store or system diagnostics according to your Apple settings. Vellora does not receive your payment card details through these apps. Model hosting services have their own privacy policies.
Support
If you email support, we receive the address and information you send so we can respond. Do not include private documents, recordings or API keys unless needed and agreed for the support request. To ask about your support correspondence or request its deletion, contact support@vellorastudio.one.
This policy
This website is hosted by one.com. Visiting it sends normal connection information, including your IP address and requested page, to the hosting service. These pages add no advertising, tracking scripts or analytics. An offline copy of the app policy is also available from the app’s Help menu.
Changes
Updates will appear on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes to app data handling will be reflected in the relevant policy and app disclosures.
