# Privacy Policy — TextMend Local

TextMend Local processes text on your Windows device. It does not send your text to the publisher and includes no account registration, advertising, analytics or cloud text processing.

The app reads text you paste, type, open or drop into its workspace. Clipboard access occurs when you use Paste or Copy. Source text, the cleaned result and repair preferences are saved in local application storage to restore your workspace. This storage is not encrypted by TextMend.

Use Clear to remove the current source and result from the workspace and its saved text. Repair preferences remain. Exported files and clipboard copies remain outside the app and are not removed by Clear or uninstalling the app.

Export writes to the location you choose in the Windows save dialog. Choose a new filename to preserve an existing document. Files in synchronized folders, and clipboard history or synchronization, may be processed by Windows or other software independently of TextMend.

Microsoft handles Store purchases, downloads and updates under its own terms. TextMend requires no subscription or in-app purchases.
