BatesNest Local gives lawyers, paralegals, investigators and records teams a focused Windows workflow: add PDFs, place them in production order, review every number range, choose the stamp style, and create new numbered copies. The sequence continues across files automatically.
Every completed batch includes JSON and CSV receipts that map each source to its output, page count, Bates range and SHA-256 hashes. Originals are never overwritten, and existing output names are never replaced.
Privacy is simple: there is no account, cloud processing, advertising, analytics, telemetry or AI. PDF processing happens on this PC and the app works without an internet connection.
BatesNest is a numbering and integrity-record utility. It is not a redaction tool, digital-signature system, trusted timestamp, authenticity service or guarantee of legal compliance. Encrypted/password-protected PDFs and PDFs containing digital-signature fields or signature dictionaries are not supported; use an unsigned working copy because Bates numbering changes the PDF and could invalidate a signature. PDFs whose page rotation is not 0°, 90°, 180° or 270°, and PDFs whose visible crop area differs from their full page box or whose MediaBox has a non-zero origin are also not supported. Always review outputs before production use.
